Η «πράσινη» ΚΑΕ έκανε και επίσημη την αποχώρηση του Σλοβένου και έγραψε στα social media: «Η ΚΑΕ Παναθηναϊκός AKTOR ανακοινώνει την ολοκλήρωση της συνεργασίας της με τον Σάνι Μπετσίροβιτς. Τον ευχαριστούμε για την προσφορά του στην ομάδα μας και του ευχόμαστε καλή συνέχεια στη ζωή και την καριέρα του».

Θυμίζουμε πως ο Νίκος Παππάς θα επιστρέψει στον σύλλογο, μετά από τρία χρόνια στο ΝΒΑ και τους Σικάγο Μπουλς.
