Τεράστια εκτός έδρας νίκη πέτυχε ο Παναθηναϊκός επικρατώντας της μέχρι πρότινος αήττητης του 7ου ομίλου ισπανικής Αβενίντα με 78-70 στο πλαίσιο της 4ης αγωνιστικής, ρεφάροντας για την εντός έδρας ήττα από τη Νιόν πριν από 6 μέρες. Οι πράσινες πήραν εκδίκηση για την ήττα της πρεμιέρας, δείχνοντας πως θα τα δώσουν όλα για την πρόκριση στην επόμενη φάση της διοργάνωσης. Αξιοσημείωτο είναι πως οι παίκτριες της Σελέν Ερντέμ κοίταξαν στα ίσια την αντίπαλό τους και με ένα καταπληκτικό τέταρτο δεκάλεπτο όπου δέχτηκαν μόλις 12 πόντους σκοράροντας 23 έφτασαν στο φοβερό διπλό. Κορυφαίες των νικητών ήταν η Σαμ Γαλανόπουλος με 20 πόντους με την Φιτζέραλντ να προσθέτει 15 ενώ από τις γηπεδούχες ξεχώρισαν οι Σοριάνο και Κέιβ με 19 και 15 πόντους αντίστοιχα.
