Φτωχότερη έμεινε η Παναθηναϊκή οικογένεια και δη το τμήμα στίβου του μεγαλύτερου πολυαθλητικού συλλόγου της χώρας, καθώς έφυγε από τη ζωή ο άλλοτε βαδιστής Δημήτρης Μποντικούλης σε ηλικία 87 ετών, με τη διοίκηση του Παναθηναϊκού Αθλητικού Ομίλου να εκφράζει τα βαθιά και ειλικρινή του συλληπητήρια στους συγγενείς και τους οικείους του εκλιπόντος.
