Δεν είναι μόνο το ποδόσφαιρο ή το μπάσκετ που φέρνει διακρίσεις εντός και εκτός συνόρων αλλά και τα τμήματα του Ερασιτέχνη. Συγκεκριμένα το όνομα του μεγαλύτερου πολυαθλητικού συλλόγου στην Ελλάδα, του Παναθηναϊκού, ακούστηκε και στη Γερμανία κατά τη διάρκεια του Παγκοσμίου Πρωταθλήματος Νεφροπαθών και Μεταμοσχευμένων της Δρέσδης με τον Στέλιο Δερμιτζάκη να κατακτά το χρυσό μετάλλιο ως μέλος της Εθνικής ομάδας μπόουλινγκ.
