It's necessary to be honest because, for the umpteenth time, we must to talk about a bad defeat far from OAKA, with the same chronical problems that afflict the team already from a couple of seasons that seems unsolvable. And, honestly, it begins to be tiresome to say everytime the same things.
Defeat at Khimki home had a lot of negative implications because, first of all, the approach at decisive part of regular season was totally unacceptable, considering that the 23th round was totally not favorable for Panathinaikos, which at contrary of direct opponents for 4th position have had the hardest game and at least a different attitude was requested. Of course other teams gained the victory and from now Khimki too is totally on fight to a good place for post season, whitout forget that Greens have disavantage at tie breaker with everyone, with also the game at Real Madrid home to play on upcoming weeks.
Situation is really bad from now and it's not necessary a scientist to understand this, but it's necessary to change totally the attitude because is not acceptable that these players are able to compete and defeat at home with all top teams while, far from OAKA, they totally transformed, loosing concetrations, fighting soul and everything. Defeats at Valencia and Bamberg, two teams very far from play offs area, should have been huge alarms for Pascual team, but evidently was not benefited from those lessons.
At Moscow situation was almost clear immediately, already from 14-6 after just 4 minutes played and, after a small reaction between first and second quarter, team totally collapsed at halftime and never was able at all to reopen the game, falling into usual mistakes, concentration first of all, at both side of court. And the attitude of this defeat can't have excuses or justifications. Not at all.
What to do now? First of all stop to talk about Final 4, about far future, about everything is more far of 2-3 days, in order to have full conscious of reality: if you are not able to conquer away victories Belgrade is just an, undeserved, illusion. And second do a serious examination of conscience and a "bath of humility" in order to reconnect immediately on the right way, also because next Euroleague game is the mother of games: Panathinaikos-Olympiacos and no other thing to add.
