Without mentioning some very doubts episodes of last quarter (footages are available and everyone can have an opinion), Panathinaikos back from Istanbul with a defeat with a lot of positive feelings. It's enough to remember previous seasons, while Greens were able to play with top team at OAKA but far everytime large defeats leaving also a sense of inferiority. But this time its' also possible to have some regrets for missed a step for enter definitively inside "elite" of current Euroleague tournament.
Offensive phase was very problematic and away, especially against top team, this is almost everytime a huge problems, but despite all Pascual's players didn't gave up or lost confidence, with an excellent defensive phase practically for all game duration and just some details, and a super star like Vesely with some crucial offensive rebounds, made the, minimal, difference between teams.
But, coming to practical things, this defeat permitted to Fenerbahce to catch and overtake Panathinaikos gaining the advantage of tie brekaer and this could make the difference at the end of regular season. But, as already said, these are just practical thing that don't must to touch the confidence and the positive feelings that Panathinaikos have gained during this season and, at contrary, must to be useful to grow inside all players the certainty that something of wonderful is perfectly possible to catch: we must to believe in Belgrade!
Starting from Friday night, when an already sold out OAKA will host CSKA Moscow, coming from a "training" against Anadolu Efes. And it's not necessary to add nothing, about importance of team and atmosphere that will be. The only certainty is that Calathes and co. will face the leaders with all intensity possible and also with...some anger after Istanbul!
